I create photographic stories for hotels, lodges, camps, conservancies and the conservation, community and creative projects connected to them.
My preferred commissions are not built around arriving with a long shot list, photographing everything as quickly as possible and leaving again.
I want time on location.
Time to understand what you built, what your guests experience, who makes it all work and what you are especially proud of. Time to photograph the beautiful things we planned, and enough time for the things we could never have planned.
My strongest commissions are built around having enough time on location to understand how a place works.
The result is a much broader visual library, but more importantly, one that actually feels like your place.
Architecture, rooms, suites, public spaces, pools, spas, restaurants, food, drinks, design, details and the feeling of being there.
Hosts, chefs, guides, housekeepers, gardeners, rangers, carers, craftspeople and the people working quietly behind the guest experience.
Arrival. Breakfast. A game drive. A quiet afternoon. Dinner by firelight. A massage. A walk. A family moment. A storm moving in. What happens after dark.
The things a guest will remember, not simply the things listed on the website.
Wildlife, environment, weather, changing light and the larger landscape your property belongs to.
If you support conservation, reforestation, education, community programmes, local makers or other projects that matter to you, I would love to understand them too.
They should be photographed with the same care as everything guests see.
These are often my favourites.
Something handmade. A hand at work. An object chosen with care. The way sunlight reaches one corner of a room. Something happening before everyone else wakes up.
I always leave space for those.

We build the brief around your place, not around a standard hotel checklist.
Longer stays let me photograph different weather, changing light, different services and experiences, wildlife that appears on its own schedule, and people once having a camera around no longer feels unusual.
Some days will be structured.
Others need room to happen.
That combination is where I think the strongest work comes from.
Every project is shaped around the commission.
You receive a curated final body of fully edited high resolution photographs.
Exact deliverables, image count, formats, priority files and delivery schedule are agreed in the proposal.
RAW and unedited files are not included.
Every commission is quoted individually according to the scope, time on location, travel and required image licence.
These are the things worth agreeing early. None of them are complicated, and they all make the work on location easier.
My main commissions are designed around one week to one month on location.
The scope should match the time available. A week can produce a substantial story. Several weeks allow us to go much deeper.
I am based in Switzerland and work worldwide, including remote locations.
For destination commissions, travel, appropriate private accommodation, meals while on assignment, local transfers, park or conservancy fees, required permits and other project related travel costs are either provided by the client or included separately in the proposal.
Travel days are planned separately from working days where necessary.
The better the access, the stronger the story.
If you want the kitchen, staff, conservation work, spa, workshops, guides, community projects or behind the scenes operations photographed, please help arrange access before or during my stay.
I work discreetly, but I cannot photograph a part of the story I am not able to see.
Please make sure people who are intended to be photographed are comfortable being included.
For children, guests, community projects or other situations requiring additional consent, appropriate permission should be arranged in advance.
If the brief includes specific lifestyle or guest scenes, any required models, participants and permissions should be discussed before the assignment.
Wildlife is wildlife.
Specific animals, behaviour, sunsets, storms or weather conditions can never be guaranteed.
I will work with what the place gives us.
I will never compromise animal welfare simply to make a photograph.
Copyright remains with me.
Every proposal includes a licence tailored to the agreed uses.
Third party use by another hotel brand, architect, designer, developer, tour operator, agency, publisher or commercial partner must be agreed separately.
Images may not be resold or transferred to unrelated third parties without permission.
Standard cropping and resizing for approved uses are fine. Substantial re editing or generative alteration requires prior approval.
If broader or exclusive rights are required, we can discuss them before the commission.
To begin, send me the location, approximate dates, scope of the project and intended image use.
From there I can prepare a proposal and an individual quote built around the place rather than a standard package.
Dates are reserved once the scope is agreed, the agreement is signed and the booking retainer has been received.
