Signature
Books

Some places deserve their own book.

A photographic book created around an idea that belongs entirely to you.

What it is

One idea,
made into a book.

A Signature Book is not built from a template. We begin with a clear idea, but the final structure is allowed to grow from what the photography reveals.

Inside a book

Pages from
Solio.

Solio became a book about a reserve I had photographed over several years: its wildlife, weather, people and conservation work.

The idea is yours

What would
your book
be?

There is no fixed subject.

We decide the centre of the book together.

Your place

A book about the property itself, the people behind it and the world around it.

A country

The landscapes, wildlife, people and places someone should know.

Places to go

A photographic guide to the experiences, landscapes and locations worth leaving the property for.

The wild

Wildlife, habitat, weather and the landscape they belong to.

The people

Portraits, work, traditions, craft and the individuals who shape a place.

A project

Conservation, community, restoration or another body of work that deserves a permanent record.

Or something else entirely

If there is an idea you want to turn into a book, that is where we begin.

What it can become

Made for whatever
comes next.

Nº 01
A private volume

Created for the property, family, organisation or project itself.

Nº 02
Part of the guest experience

A coffee table book for suites, lounges, libraries or shared spaces.

Nº 03
An edition to sell

A publication guests and visitors can take home with them.

Nº 04
A gift or presentation volume

For owners, partners, donors, special guests or people connected to the place.

Nº 05
A publication with a purpose

For a conservation programme, cultural project, destination or subject that deserves to reach further.

How it works

Five steps,
unhurried.

One
We define the brief.

We talk through what matters most and what the book needs to do.

Two
We agree the scope.

From there, we decide what the assignment needs before I arrive.

Three
I come and photograph.

For most Signature Books, I spend around one to two months on location, depending on the subject and scope. The brief gives me direction, with room for what unfolds once I am there.

Four
The book takes shape.

I edit the work and build the sequence, words and design around the photographs.

Five
The finished book.

The work is brought together as the publication we set out to make.
